RETIREMENT

In this year of retirement I put off most projects and needs until that day when I would have more time to complete them. That day was close enough now that almost everything could wait at least that long.

That day arrived and I have been so busy triing to do those things I promised myself I would do with all the extra time I was going to have. The ache in my back and the pain in my knee that helped me make the dicission to retire, are challenging me with every project that I attack.

If meeting my maker will wait until I complete my project and bucket lists, I'll be around for a long time.

I've spent Fathers day with the Troy Hodges family, and I plan on tripping to Tennessee to see the Tara Williams family in August.

I went golfing today for the first time this year. I was pleased that the hurts did not worsen my score.

I've caught a few fish from the lake in a day trip this summer.

I've found a few paying jobs for my freinds that are struggling during this economic downturn.

I've fought to see fruition of the water line Albert financed to furnish the trustees lots with water. I lost that battle and I appologize to Albert and the trustees.

I'm thankful to the trustees for helping perpetuate the water rights and well that we have. This means we can still develope independant of the water company.

There are 5 properties that I may be able to keep up with now that I am retired. I love it, and I hope it keeps me healthy and in shape.

ENTITLEMENT

WE ARE NOT ENTITLED TO ANYTHING WE HAVE NOT WORKED, WORRIED, FOUGHT, OR SWEAT FOR. EVERYTHING ELSE IS A GIFT OR A CHALLENGE THAT WILL SOON BE A MEMORY.

LIFE IS WHAT HAPPENED TO US WHILE WE WERE MAKING OTHER PLANS.

MY CHILDREN AND THEIR SPOUSES

THIS TALK REMINDS ME OF MY CHILDREN, THE EXAMPLE THEY ARE TO ME, AND THE PRIDE I HAVE IN THEM.
